The ancient text
The received Wang Bi Tao Te Ching, in traditional characters — carried unchanged, never converted, never abridged.
The machine機器
A first poetic rendering and a reflection — machine-generated, marked as such. It has no body and claims no authority.
The human reader
A person selects, questions, and answers — in a recorded conversation that may revise the rendering, and in a closing response.
How it works
Eighty-one chapters, one every two weeks, over roughly three years. Each opens as ancient text and a machine's first rendering; a recorded conversation may revise it; the first version is always kept beside the revised one. When all eighty-one have opened, the accumulated dialogue becomes a book.
