The Visual World 畫境

Every chapter carries one watercolor-and-ink illustration on warm paper, informed by Tang-dynasty material culture — timber halls, robes, rivers, vessels, wide valleys and open mist.

The images are not documentary reconstruction and never photorealistic. The machine is never given a body; the Dao, heaven, earth, and virtue are never personified. Scale carries the meaning — a small traveler, a wide valley, a nearly empty room — and generous negative space is kept intact. Artwork is machine-generated in this visual direction and human-selected.
